Not Just Fitter... Better.

Helping each other makes us better people

The beauty of this community has always been how we support and motivate each other, and it's no exaggeration when I say you all make me proud every single day. But today, one of the tribe did something that just blew me away.

You may or may not have already spoken to Hetal, one of TwitterGetsFitter's most enthusiastic and energetic participants. If you haven't yet, you really should! Well today, I saw something beautiful upon Hetal's Twitter timeline.

That's right, Hetal is leading a movement to help bring hygiene and dignity to hundreds of underprivileged Indian women. And I would love for all of us at TwitterGetsFitter to rally and help.

Millions of women across India have to deal with menstruation like a curse every month -- lack of suitable or accessible toilets, no hygiene products, and Lord know what else. For women in rural areas, this can even mean 5 to 7 days every month where they can't leave their homes, hence affecting their livelihoods.

With just a small donation, we could all help make their lives just a little bit easier. The details of the drive are in this poster that Hetal shared.

You can contact her on Twitter, or in the Forum. I'm going to be donating what I can, and I hope you will, too.

Because there's more to this than just us losing weight. Let's also work together to make the world just a little bit better. <3

Keep TwitterGetsFitter Going!

TwitterGetsFitter aims to stay free (and ad-free) and takes me hundreds of hours a month to research and write, and thousands of rupees to sustain.

If you find any joy and value in what I do, please consider supporting with a donation of your choosing.
